This temple is not just stone and sculpture. It is a living space where the rush of academic life gives way to something quieter — a place to pause, to breathe, to reconnect with what truly matters.
Within a university that believes education must touch the heart as much as the mind, this temple becomes the physical expression of that philosophy — a sanctuary where students discover that wisdom begins in stillness.

Where It All Began
It started not with a blueprint, but with a feeling. During Rishihood's Soul Treks to Haridwar, students walked the ancient ghats, listened to temple bells at Har Ki Pauri, and sat by the Ganga as evening aarti filled the air.
Those days changed something within them. They experienced Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga — not as philosophy from a textbook, but as a way of living they could feel.
Back on campus, a shared realization crystallized. There was no space that honoured this dimension of their lives. And so the question arose — quietly, but unmistakably: why not build one ourselves?
From a journey to Haridwar.
From silence by the Ganga.
From a question that wouldn’t leave.

This is not a temple imposed from above. It was not conceived by a committee or ordained by tradition alone. It grew from the lived experience of students — from their encounter with something ancient that felt unexpectedly alive.
In a world where the young are often seen as disconnected from heritage, this initiative tells a different story — one where a generation chooses to build a bridge between the eternal and the evolving.
They did not inherit faith passively — they chose to express it through stone, intention, and collective action.

About Rishihood University
India's first Impact University — founded in 2020 by IIT alumni through collective philanthropy, inspired by Swami Vivekananda's vision of individuals who could reach “Rishihood” and transform the nation. Located on a 25-acre campus in Sonipat, Haryana.
With six schools spanning Technology, Entrepreneurship, Design, Psychology, Public Leadership, and Healthcare — Rishihood operates as a modern Gurukul where Soul Treks, Inner Engineering, and the 100 Km Walkathon sit alongside academics to build both competence and character.
